Last March, I was writing my newsletter "Seeds of Inspiration" when everything changed.

I was in a Zoom meeting with other Substack creators, listening to people share, when I felt a sudden discontent with my current offering. It was a gut-level sense that something needed to change.

I sat with this feeling for weeks, asking myself what was wanting to emerge.

Then one day, the word "Survivalista" dropped into my mind.

My heart leaped.

It was a hard-to-describe feeling—not from my head, but from my heart—of "That's it!" The knowing was instant and undeniable.

Then my logical mind stepped in with all its reasons why I couldn't, shouldn't make such a dramatic change.

But that feeling of "yes" in my heart stayed steady through the mental onslaught.

So I took immediate action. I made all the necessary changes in one weekend.

This is what it looks like to shift from reaction to LOVE-driven action. Not the frantic energy of external pressure, but the steady pulse of truth from within.

🩵 From Necessary Preparation to Radiant Leadership

Every step of my journey was necessary preparation for this moment. As a wife and mother, earning my Master's in Social Work, serving county government, and eventually directing a $30 million health program—each role shaped my character and deepened my compassion.

Yes, there was suffering.

The county job was hard, often thankless work that kept me up many nights. But those experiences weren't mistakes—they were “forging me” for the work I do now.

The discontent I felt—that "Is this all there is?" question—wasn't a sign I had chosen wrongly.

It was LOVE calling me toward the next level of my purpose.

What I've learned: The roles that no longer fit aren't failures. They're “graduation ceremonies.”

When discontent arises, it's not regret knocking—it's expansion calling.

Your past wasn't a detour. It was preparation for your unique expression of LOVE.

The phrase "heaven on earth" has always been an activation code for me.

Every time I heard someone use this term, my heart would light up with the knowing that heaven on earth wasn't just a dream—it was a reality whose time is nigh.

Leaving that corporate role to become a life coach was my first step toward my unique expression of "heaven on earth."

For fifteen years, I've been moving closer and closer to this truth, and in its current form, it's Survivalista.

* It remains constant even when logic argues otherwise

Daily check-in with LOVE: Each morning, ask: "What wants to emerge through me today?" Listen with your heart, not your head.

Create space for discontent: When you feel that gut-level sense that something needs to change, don't ignore it. Sit with it. Ask what it's trying to tell you.

Take immediate action on your heart’s "yes" When you feel that unmistakable leap of recognition, move quickly. The longer you wait, the louder the mental objections become.

Document your symphony: Keep a journal of moments when you felt most aligned with LOVE. These patterns reveal your unique instrument in the grand symphony.
